FREQUENT QUESTIONS

Things men really want to know.

What is a normal testosterone level?

Reference intervals vary. AUA uses below about 300 ng/dL as a supportive cutoff for testosterone deficiency only when compatible symptoms and two separate morning measurements are present.

Can you diagnose low T from symptoms alone?

No. Symptoms such as fatigue and low libido overlap with many other conditions. A diagnosis needs symptoms or signs plus reliable repeat measurements.

When should testosterone be tested?

Typically early in the morning on two separate days, using a reliable laboratory. Fasting is commonly preferred. Shift work and individual circumstances should be discussed with your clinician.

Does low testosterone always cause ED?

No. Desire and erections are different. Diabetes, circulation, nerves, stress, and medication effects can cause erection problems even with normal testosterone.

Can TRT stop sperm production?

Yes. External testosterone can suppress sperm production, sometimes dramatically. Discuss fertility before starting any TRT.

Can lifestyle changes raise testosterone?

Sometimes, especially with obesity or poor sleep. But lifestyle changes do not always correct testicular or pituitary disease.

Is testosterone dangerous for the heart?

Major cardiovascular events were similar between testosterone and placebo in TRAVERSE, but individual risks and blood-pressure effects still matter.

Does Medome Men diagnose low T?

No. Its digital checks and coaching may support education and clinician-visit preparation, but diagnosis requires clinician review and laboratory assessment.

FIND THE CAUSE, NOT JUST A NUMBER

Low T? Or something else?

Medome Men offers private health conversations, broader checks, coaching, tracking, and a way to prepare for a more useful doctor visit. It does not replace clinician testing or treatment.
